I will be participating in various obstacle races and I would love for the wolf pack to join me. I'm all about bringing family and friends together over healthy game of competition. We will begin exercising every monday after school to prepare for these obstacles. I encourage you to invite your family to exercise with us and sign up for the obstacle races as well. The first event is titled Rugged Maniac 5k. It will be held in Temecula, CA on November 19th. They currently have a Groupon special which saves you $19. Grab it while you can! The second event is Titled Spartan Race. It will be held in Castiac CA, on December 11th. Unfortunately the Groupon for this is event is sold out. However, there is a promotional codes that will allow you to save 10% on this event.

Rugged Maniac 5k
- First click on the link to purchase the Rugged Maniac 5k Groupon.
- Once you purchase the Groupon they will give you to further instructions on how to sign up for the Rugged Maniac 5k.
- Once you go to the Rugged Maniac site to sign-up for the race, they will ask you to input promo code. The promo code is your Groupon Voucher code.
- Lastly they will ask you if you would like to join a team? and what time you would like to start the race? OUR team name is HARD HITTERS and our start time is 1:15pm. If you want to race at the same time with familiar faces, input this information when asked.
Spartan Race
- First Click on the "Spartan Race" link
- Once you click on the link click on Race, you'll see Search Races. Enter your zip code and it will direct you to the Los Angeles Sprint Weekend.
- Since the Groupons are sold out for this event, they only offer regular price options. However, there is a 10% discount code FINISH10. Refer to the photo below for race current price:
- Please click on Register Now for the Sunday (December 11th) Morning option.
- Once you click on that option they will ask if you want to join a team. Click YES....The team name is HARD HITTERS and the password is VICTORY. Our start time is 10:15am. Hope to see you there.
- If you decide to participate in the obstacle events, keep in mind this is not an official PBS-HSA event. It's simply an event I'm suggestion you participate in for fun. Thus, You're responsible for your transportation to the event.

"Flash of the past" documents H.S.A's Physical Education and Kinesiology department progress, by posting class presentations and physical activities on the class weebly site. Posted below will be some of the class presentations and physical activities .
The kinesiology students love creating innovative ways to stay physically fit.

The students were Hurdlers for the day. The video posted above demonstrates students doing trail leg drills.
The Physical Education students were asked to create a skit demonstrating the importance of cardiovascular endurance.

2. Quickly change into H.S.A. PE uniform for daily physical activity (10 minutes)
3. Class lecture/written work ( 60 minutes)
4. Physical Activity (60 minutes)
5. Change back into H.S.A. Uniform (10 minutes)
6. Sit in assigned area until the bell rings (5 minutes)

7. 30 seconds Cross body mountain climbers
8. 30 seconds Pike ups
9. 30 Side to side speed plank
10. 10 plie squads
11. 30 seconds half tuck jump
12. 30 seconds calf raises
Jog in place for 2 minutes and repeat
